Car Insurance Nissan (Car Insurance). Is someone trying to steal my car? Honda Civic? Is someone trying to steal my car? Honda Civic? Just recently i was driving on the road and my tire came off my car. I took it to my mechanic because i just got new tires. They said since the threading on the wheels was not worn someone must have tried to steal my tires. At first I did not believe this because i had new tires for two weeks. I drive a 2004 honda civic and i have an alarm and a sticker on the car that says so, but i as well usually keep my change open and my radio in the car as well as my sunglasses. I park my car on the road near my house, and this theory made me realize other factors. I have tire locks on my car. Recently the driver side door handle has been squeaking randomly. The front bumper panel underneath is missing, I thought it feel off. The panels around the tires have gone missing on both sides, so I can see directly through the motor of my car. And I have an expensive body kit on my car that has mysteriously come a little loose and the bump looks broken. There are also mysterious little brown rust on my car. lol. Yeah....mechanic is just covering for his own mistakes. It's not uncommon for them to work on multiple cars at a time and forget to do things on some of the cars. In your case he may have only hand tightened the lug nuts down with the intention of torquing them down properly later but forgot. Nobody tried to steal your tires. When the tires were replaced recently the wheels were not properly torqued down. Your mechanic is trying to dodge the blame to cover his *** but if he was the last one to touch the wheels he is the one who is liable. Auto parts : Transmission Kick Down Cable Bracket Acura 1995 . I drove my truck to the store one night and it ran fine, the next morning i went to head to work and when i turned the truck over it made a ticking noise repeatedly(tick,tick,tick,tick,tick)... I work as a construction mechanic in the U.S. Navy, so i'm frequent with similar problems, so i figured it was the alternator. So i replaced the alternator, charged the battery and she turned over fine, except sounded sluggish. I jumped in and started to drive it around the block. It died about 30-50 yards down the road. I did some trouble shooting myself and checked the fuel pump, replaced the fuel filter, and cleaned the fuel injectors... it still happens, a friend of mine heard a sucking noise from under the hood whenever i hit the gas, i cant seem to locate where its coming from. So the symptoms i'm having now are a delay when i hit the gas, the sucking noise from under the hood(almost like a cold air intake), and it stalls out after i get about 30-50 yards down the road...Please help, i'm trying to avoid losing more money than i need to... car insurance. So I don't want full on driving lessons everyday or every other day for weeks on en as I can't afford that and I'm also really scared and worry about driving. Do I need to declare a car accident that happened on a Provisional Licence and learner insurance in the futur? I had an incident in another family members car with my leaner insurance and L plates all in tact and legal. I need to know if I need to declare this incident in the future when I have a full driving licence, my own car and will need my own insurance. If this must be declared, in the future, should I just claim the costs on my insurance company anyway? Worst case scenario: It must be declared regardless of the outcome of the current situation. Best case: Incidents caused prior to obtaining a full UK driving licence are null and void. Somewhere in between: I can offer to pay all the damage now to avoid having to declare it in the future. I don't think calling my insurance company(Collingwood) would help, it is obviously in their best interest that I don't declare from them whatever happens. car insurance. Nissan . How to Fix a Car ScratchEvery now and then your car gets a scratch out of nowhere, sometimes the scratch is too deep to cover and in other cases the scratch can be easily removed as if it never happened. This guide may help you depending on the type of car scratch you have. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Piece of cloth Paint spray Old newspaper Car determinant Step by Step : 1 This is actually the most important step in covering a car scratch; you will need to determine the depth of the scratch very accurately. If the depth is too deep to cover then don't bother yourself with this guide because covering a car scratch works only on shallow scratches. 2 After you make sure that the car scratch is not deep into the car body start cleaning the area around the scratch very carefully. Use the car determinant and the piece of cloth for this step and make sure to remove all the wax and dust around the scratch. 3 When you finish cleaning the surface try isolating the surface around the scratch with the newspaper; cut the newspaper from the middle to take the shape of scratch. 4 Identify the exact body paint of your car, you may use you vehicle identification number to get the exact color. This step is also very important because you may ruin the look of your car if you sprayed the scratch with a different color. 5 Get the paint spray with the same color code and apply gently on the car scratch without spraying the area around the newspaper. 6 Leave the spray to dry for 10 to 12 hours. Tips & Warnings Use a plastic cover instead of a newspaper to completely isolate the area around the scratch while spraying it Identify the exact car color before purchasing the paint spray
Nissan . How to Fix Car ScratchesIt never fails that just after you've spent all day washing and waxing your new car, someone comes along and scrapes their key down the side of it, ruining both your mood and your car's paint job. Of course not all scratches are intentional. Maybe you drove too close to your neighbor's shrubbery and the result was several scratches on your door, or maybe you scratched your door or trunk while trying to insert a key. Regardless of how the scratch occurred, car scratches are unsightly. Although there are varying levels of severity, you can fix most common car scratches yourself. The following steps will show you how to fix car scratches. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Rubbing compound A soft cloth Fine sanding paper Step by Step : 1 To fix car scratches, first, wash your vehicle using soapy water and dry it thoroughly. 2 The next step to fix car scratches involves using a fine sand paper and gently sanding down the area immediately surrounding the scratch. You must be extremely careful to only skim off some of the paint. You do not want to sand all of the paint away or reach the primer level. 3 After you have sanded down the area surrounding the scratch, wipe away any residue from the sanding and once again clean the area. 4 The next step to fix car scratches requires the application of a rubbing compound to the sanded area. Once you have applied the rubbing compound, use a soft cloth to buff out the compound and smooth out the surface of the vehicle. If you have a polishing device, this can make the process of fixing car scratches easier. 5 Finally, apply car wax to the vehicle to protect your car from further scratches. Tips & Warnings If your car has a clearcoat layer above the paint, you will need to reapply a clear coating after repairing the car scratch. Clearcoat can be purchased from almost any auto part supply store. If you have a car scratch that has began to rust, or if you can see the metal or primer beneath the paint job, then your car will most likely require the entire affected panel be repainted. *reassemble the carburetor can be very difficult. An easier — and probably cheaper — way to deal with the problem yourself is to replace the carburetor with a new or rebuilt model, following the instructions later in this chapter. Checking your accelerator pump If your vehicle hesitates when you step on the gas pedal, your accelerator pump may not be working properly. Here's how the accelerator pump causes your car to speed up when you step on the gas pedal: When you step on the pedal, a rod connecting the pedal to a little lever, called the accelerator pump arm, which is located on the outside of the carburetor, pushes on a little piston .Chapter 13: Keeping Your Fuel System in Tune 27 7 inside the carburetor, which squirts a little extra fuel into the carburetor venturi. (See Figure 13-10.) That extra fuel creates a richer fuel/air mixture, which provides the extra power for acceleration. If your accelerator pump isn't working properly, your carburetor probably needs to be rebuilt or replaced. 626

Land Rover Discovery. * accelerator pump arm to see how freely it moves. (The arm is the little lever, not the big one; that's the throttle.) If the lever doesn't move, try pushing it with your finger. If it still doesn't move, it may be caught on something. Try bending it a little to clear the obstruction. If the accelerator pump arm moves freely when someone steps on the gas pedal, take a look down the carburetor barrel to see whether fuel is squirting in when the accelerator pump arm moves. If there's no fuel action, the carburetor probably needs to be rebuilt (which involves taking it apart, cleaning it, and replacing various parts) or replaced. If you need a new carburetor, you may be just as well off getting a cheaper, rebuilt one. The sections "Installing a New or Rebuilt Carburetor" and "What to Do When All Else Fails," later in this chapter, provide your alternatives. Adjusting your accelerator pump arm Some accelerator pumps have more than one hole where the arm hooks up, to enable you to adjust the arm. Adjusting for a shorter stroke (so that the arm moves a shorter distance) gives you a leaner mixture of fuel and air; a longer stroke gives you a richer one. If your accelerator pump arm is moving O 7C Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System when the gas pedal is stepped on, and fuel is squirting into the venturi when the arm is pushed, but you're still having acceleration problems, try adjusting the arm for a longer stroke.
